#JUSTIN: Dawood Aide Salim Dola Remanded In NCB Custody Till May 8

Dawood aide Salim Dola held in NCB custody till May 8.

A special court in Mumbai has remanded alleged drug trafficker Salim Dola, identified by investigators as an aide of underworld figure Dawood Ibrahim, to Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) custody till May 8 in connection with an ongoing narcotics investigation.

According to officials, Dola was arrested following a coordinated probe into a drug trafficking network believed to be operating across multiple states. The NCB has been questioning him as part of efforts to trace the wider supply chain and identify other individuals allegedly involved in the racket.

Investigators claim that the case is linked to a broader syndicate with suspected international connections. While details of the specific substances involved have not been fully disclosed in the latest proceedings, authorities have indicated that the operation is part of a larger crackdown on organised drug networks.

The court’s decision to grant custody to the NCB till May 8 allows investigators additional time for interrogation and evidence collection. Officials are expected to examine financial transactions, communication records, and possible cross-border links during this period.

Dola’s alleged association with Dawood Ibrahim has drawn additional attention to the case, given the long-standing concerns over organised crime networks operating from abroad. However, authorities have not made any formal public statement linking the broader syndicate directly to higher-level leadership.

The NCB has intensified its enforcement actions in recent months, focusing on dismantling drug trafficking routes and curbing distribution networks. Officials maintain that such investigations are crucial to addressing the growing challenge of narcotics-related crime in urban and inter-state corridors. The case is expected to develop further as custody proceedings continue, with investigators likely to present additional findings in the coming days.
