JD Vance: UFOs are Demons, Not Aliens — And I Will Expose Government Files

US Vice President JD Vance calls UFO occupants demons and vows a government file investigation.

United States Vice President JD Vance has sparked debate after stating that he is “obsessed” with unidentified flying objects (UFOs) and suggesting that aliens may not be extraterrestrial beings but "demons". Speaking during a podcast interview, Vance indicated that he intends to examine government records on UFOs more closely during his tenure. His remarks come amid renewed public and political interest in unexplained aerial phenomena and the disclosure of classified information related to such sightings.

During a conversation with conservative podcaster Benny Johnson, Vance said he plans to dedicate more time to understanding UFO-related data, noting that he still has several years remaining in office to investigate the matter. While maintaining a light tone, he emphasized his curiosity and commitment to exploring the subject further. His comments reflect a growing trend among political figures engaging with public fascination surrounding unidentified aerial phenomena and government transparency.

The discussion also referenced an earlier directive by former US President Donald Trump, who in February ordered federal agencies to begin identifying and releasing government files related to UFOs and potential extraterrestrial activity. Trump had justified the move by citing significant public interest in the topic. The order marked a continuation of efforts to declassify information that has historically been restricted due to national security concerns.

Adding to the debate, former US President Barack Obama had previously commented publicly that aliens were "real", although he clarified that he had not personally seen evidence of extraterrestrial life. Trump later criticised Obama’s remarks, alleging that they involved the disclosure of classified information. These exchanges between current and former leaders have contributed to sustained attention on the issue at the highest levels of government.

Vance, however, offered a different interpretation of UFO phenomena, stating that he does not believe they are linked to alien life forms. Instead, he described them as "demons", aligning his perspective with a religious understanding of celestial or supernatural beings. His remarks introduce a theological dimension to a discussion that has largely been dominated by scientific inquiry and national security considerations.

Despite ongoing speculation, there remains no verified evidence of intelligent life beyond Earth. Investigations by the US Department of Defence, including a 2024 Pentagon report, concluded that many sightings of unidentified aerial phenomena were attributable to ordinary objects such as weather balloons, satellites, or advanced aircraft. While interest in UFOs continues to grow, experts maintain that current findings do not support claims of extraterrestrial technology or beings.
