Hyderabad Family Left Shocked After Woman Allegedly Kills Husband Using Toilet Cleaner
Woman arrested for allegedly killing husband with toilet cleaner.
A 32-year-old woman has been arrested in Telangana's Nizamabad district for allegedly murdering her husband by injecting toilet cleaner through a cannula while he was undergoing medical treatment, police said. The accused, identified as Sandhya, is alleged to have conspired with her alleged partner, Anil, and another man, Venkata Sai, to kill her husband, Prasanth (35), who had returned from a Gulf country. The case came to light after Prasanth's mother lodged a complaint expressing suspicion over the circumstances surrounding her son's death.
According to police, the complaint was filed on July 1 after the family learned that Prasanth had died on June 30. His mother claimed she had not been informed about his return home or the events leading up to his death, describing the incident as suspicious and raising doubts about her daughter-in-law's involvement. The complaint prompted investigators to examine the circumstances surrounding the death.
During the investigation, police relied on technical evidence and other material collected during the probe, which allegedly revealed that Sandhya was in a relationship with Anil. Investigators claim the two believed Prasanth was an obstacle to their relationship and planned to eliminate him. Police said they enlisted the help of Venkata Sai to execute the plan.

As per the police investigation, Sai allegedly visited Prasanth's residence on June 29, made him consume large quantities of alcohol, and later pushed him from the terrace of the building while allegedly acting on Sandhya's instructions over the phone. Although Prasanth sustained serious injuries in the fall, he survived. Sandhya and Sai initially admitted him to a government hospital before shifting him to a private hospital and later bringing him back home.
Police further alleged that after consulting with Anil, Sandhya injected toilet cleaner and an anaesthesia medicine into Prasanth through a cannula while he was receiving treatment. Investigators also alleged that she pushed him off the cot, resulting in his death. Based on the evidence collected during the investigation, police arrested Sandhya, Anil and Venkata Sai. The accused were produced before a court and remanded to judicial custody. The allegations remain part of the police investigation, and the case will proceed through the judicial process.
