Gangster Deepak Nandal Takes Credit for Gurugram Builder Office Shootout

Masked gunmen blast real estate office; Deepak Nandal takes credit.

Panic gripped Sector 45 late Thursday night as a gang of four to five masked gunmen stormed the office of MNR Buildmark, a prominent real estate firm, unleashing a barrage of 25-30 bullets that shattered windows and riddled luxury cars parked inside. The brazen daylight-like assault, which mercifully caused no injuries, has sent shockwaves through the city's thriving property market, with notorious gangster Deepak Nandal swiftly claiming responsibility via a now-deleted social media post.

Eyewitnesses described the chaos unfolding around 9:30 PM when the assailants burst into the multi-story building, firing indiscriminately before vanishing into the night. Glass shards littered the entrance, and bullet holes pockmarked the facade, turning the bustling office into a crime scene. Police swarmed the area shortly after, securing the perimeter and combing for clues. An FIR was promptly filed at Sector 40 station based on a complaint from property dealer Shravan Raheja, one of 11 builders associated with the firm that handles high-profile projects across Gurugram and Delhi-NCR.

Nandal, a known underworld figure with a history of extortion rackets, boasted in his viral post that the hit was executed on his direct orders, hinting at deeper motives tied to the real estate sector's underbelly. Though the message was scrubbed soon after, screenshots circulated widely, fueling speculation of a shakedown gone wrong. "We're probing every angle—extortion, rivalry, or vendetta," a Gurugram police spokesperson revealed. "CCTV scans are underway, and the social media trail is hot. Arrests are imminent, and we'll crack this wide open."

This attack fits a disturbing pattern plaguing Gurugram's nightlife and elite circles. Just last month, gunmen targeted YouTuber Elvish Yadav's residence with nearly two dozen shots. Before that, Haryanvi singer Rahul Fazilpuria survived a hail of bullets in July, while his associate Rohit Shakeen fell victim to assassins in August. As the city grapples with escalating gang violence, residents and business owners are on edge, demanding a crackdown on the syndicates terrorizing the National Capital Region.

Authorities have ramped up patrols and cyber surveillance, vowing to dismantle networks like Nandal's. For MNR Buildmark, the scare underscores the perils lurking beneath Gurugram's skyscraper boom—where deals worth crores can turn deadly in an instant.
