Masked Gunmen Storm Gurugram Builder’s Office, Open Fire

Armed assailants fire 25-30 rounds, shatter windows.

Panic gripped Sector 45 in Gurugram late Thursday night when a group of four to five masked gunmen stormed the office of MNR Buildmark, a prominent real estate company, and unleashed a barrage of 25-30 bullets. The brazen attack, which took place around 9:30 PM, left the office’s windows shattered and glass shards strewn across the premises, with bullet marks also found on luxury cars parked inside.

According to police sources, the attack is suspected to have been orchestrated by gangsters operating from abroad, though the exact motive—potentially linked to extortion—remains under investigation. The assailants fled the scene immediately after the indiscriminate firing, prompting a swift response from local authorities. A police team arrived promptly, cordoning off the area and launching a detailed probe to identify and apprehend the culprits.

The complaint was filed by Shravan Raheja, a property dealer, at Sector 40 police station, leading to the registration of a case. A senior police officer stated, “We are working to uncover the motive behind this attack. The arrest of the accused will shed light on whether this was an extortion attempt or driven by other factors.”

MNR Buildmark, managed by 11 builders, is a key player in the sale and purchase of real estate projects across Gurugram and the Delhi-NCR region. This incident adds to a disturbing string of shootings in Gurugram, following attacks in recent months, including one on Haryanvi singer Rahul Fazilpuria in July and the killing of his associate Rohit Shakeen in August. Just weeks ago, gunmen fired nearly two dozen rounds outside the residence of YouTuber Elvish Yadav, a friend of Fazilpuria.

As the investigation intensifies, residents and business owners in Gurugram are on edge, raising concerns about escalating violence in the city. Authorities have assured the public of swift action to bring the perpetrators to justice.
