Delhi Police Probe Rivalry Angle in Double Murder of Two Minors
Police suspect an old rivalry behind the fatal stabbing incident.
Two minors were allegedly stabbed to death and another injured following a violent clash between two rival groups in northwest Delhi’s Rohini area on Wednesday evening, police said. The incident occurred in Sector-20 Rohini and is suspected to be linked to an ongoing rivalry connected to an earlier murder case.
According to police officials, three juveniles from the Sultanpuri area had reportedly gone to Rohini in search of another boy whom they believed was sheltering individuals involved in the killing of one of their associates earlier this year. Investigators said the trio was allegedly carrying weapons at the time of the confrontation.
Police said the boys failed to locate the person they were searching for and later became involved in an altercation with members of a local family in the area. During the dispute, the youths allegedly assaulted a woman and her son, leaving both injured. The situation escalated rapidly, triggering panic in the locality.

As the three boys allegedly attempted to flee the scene, they were chased by the injured woman’s son and several local residents. During the pursuit, a knife reportedly slipped from the hand of one of the fleeing juveniles. Police said a 14-year-old boy from the rival group allegedly picked up the weapon and attacked two of the minors.
One victim was stabbed in the neck while the other suffered injuries to the abdomen and chest, officials said. Both collapsed on the road and were rushed to a nearby hospital after police received information about the incident. Doctors later declared them dead. The third injured boy is currently undergoing treatment.
Senior police officials and forensic experts visited the crime scene and collected evidence, including the knife allegedly used in the attack. A minor has been apprehended in connection with the case, while cross-FIRs have been registered based on complaints from both sides. Police said CCTV footage from the area is being examined to reconstruct the sequence of events and determine the exact circumstances leading to the killings.
