Delhi Police arrest repeat offender in Dwarka and recover stolen mobiles, knives and motorcycle.

The Dwarka district of the capital witnessed a police breakthrough in a theft and arms-related case after the Delhi Police arrested a 23-year-old accused allegedly involved in multiple criminal activities, including house thefts and armed offences. Officials described the accused as a “desperate thief/knifer” following his arrest and recovery of stolen property and weapons.

According to the Delhi Police, the accused identified as Mohit Sharma, a resident of Mohan Garden in West Delhi, was apprehended during routine patrolling by personnel from the Mohan Garden Police Station. The arrest took place on April 6 around 10:30 p.m. near Poswal Chowk in Uttam Nagar, when the suspect attempted to flee after noticing the police team.

During the chase and subsequent search, police recovered a button-actuated knife from his possession on the spot. Acting on information obtained during interrogation, officials later recovered additional incriminating materials, including a stolen motorcycle and multiple mobile phones believed to be linked to separate theft cases registered across different police stations in the area.

Senior police officials, including Deputy Commissioner of Police Dwarka Kushal Pal Singh, stated in an official release that the accused has a history of repeated offences and is linked to around 10 cases involving house theft and violations under the Arms Act across multiple jurisdictions.

The operation was conducted under the supervision of Inspector Mukesh Antil and ACP Najafgarh Raj Kumar Bajaria. Police confirmed that the arrest has helped resolve several pending cases, while further investigation is underway to trace additional recoveries and determine whether the accused is connected to other criminal networks in the region.
