Five arrested in Delhi robbery, gold chains and cash recovered.
Delhi Police have arrested five individuals in connection with an armed robbery case and recovered stolen gold chains worth approximately ₹2.31 lakh, officials said. The arrests were made following an investigation into a robbery incident involving the theft of multiple gold chains in the national capital.
According to police sources, the accused were allegedly involved in a coordinated armed robbery in which victims were targeted and relieved of their gold ornaments. During subsequent raids conducted by law enforcement teams, officers managed to recover around 21 stolen gold chains linked to the case. The recovery was made after sustained interrogation and follow-up searches at multiple locations across the city.
Officials confirmed that the accused were tracked down based on technical surveillance and intelligence inputs. Police teams analyzed CCTV footage from surrounding areas and traced movement patterns of suspects before carrying out targeted arrests. The operation was carried out as part of an ongoing effort to curb street crime and organized theft networks in Delhi.

Investigators are now examining whether the arrested individuals are part of a larger gang involved in similar robberies across different parts of the city. Preliminary findings suggest that the group may have conducted multiple thefts and robberies targeting pedestrians and small traders, though further verification is underway.
Police have also indicated that more arrests cannot be ruled out as the probe continues. Authorities are working to identify possible receivers of stolen property and any additional accomplices who may have assisted in planning or executing the crime.
The case adds to a series of recent crackdowns by Delhi Police on robbery and snatching networks operating in the city, as law enforcement agencies intensify surveillance and enforcement actions against street-level and organized property crime.
