Daylight Heist Shocks Karnataka: Armed Gang Loots Nearly 3 Kg Gold in Daring Kalaburagi Robbery!
Armed gang loots nearly 3 kg gold in bold daylight robbery at Kalaburagi workshop.
In a chilling midday heist straight out of a crime thriller, an armed gang stormed a gold ornament workshop in Kalaburagi's Saraf Bazaar, looting nearly 3 kg of gold worth crores — all in broad daylight.
The terrifying robbery unfolded around 12:30 PM on Friday, when a group of four assailants, some armed with guns and knives, barged into the first-floor shop. The victim, a Kolkata-based goldsmith, was held at gunpoint, gagged, and tied up with tape while the robbers made off with the gold.
“This was clearly a well-planned and coordinated operation,” a senior police official revealed. “The gang likely conducted a recce of the area beforehand — escaping from this crowded commercial zone isn't easy.”

The goldsmith, part of a long-standing community of skilled workers from Kolkata operating in Kalaburagi for over two decades, was alone at the time of the attack.
Authorities have launched a massive manhunt, forming five special teams to track down the culprits. CCTV footage is being analyzed, and fingerprint experts, crime branch officials, and a canine squad have combed the scene for evidence.
Police have registered a case and assured that arrests are imminent.
As the investigation intensifies, the brazen nature of the robbery has left local traders and residents shaken, raising serious questions about security in the bustling market district.
