CCTV Captures Cold-Blooded Murder of AAP Sarpanch at Amritsar Wedding

Horrifying CCTV footage has emerged showing the cold-blooded murder of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) sarpanch Jarmal Singh, who was assassinated with a gunshot to the head from behind while attending a family wedding at the upscale Marigold Resort in Amritsar on Sunday, January 4, 2026, highlighting the persistent threat of targeted political violence in Punjab.

The grainy yet clear video captures two unidentified assailants, dressed inconspicuously as wedding guests, entering the venue and weaving through the crowd before one calmly positions himself directly behind the seated Singh and fires multiple rounds at point-blank range, sending shockwaves through the gathering as screams erupted and attendees fled in terror.

Jarmal Singh, the 50-year-old elected sarpanch of Valtoha village in Tarn Taran district, had been enjoying the festivities at a relative's marriage when the attack unfolded; despite being immediately rushed to a nearby hospital in critical condition with severe head injuries, he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
