#BreakingNews: Terror Launch Pads Active Again Along LoC, Says BSF; Pakistan Repositions Camps
BSF warns launch pads active, infiltration surge expected before snow.
Senior Border Security Force officials confirmed on Sunday that multiple terrorist launch pads along the Line of Control remain fully operational despite India’s devastating Operation Sindoor in May. Inspector General Ashok Yadav, heading the BSF Kashmir Frontier, disclosed that Pakistani handlers have repositioned surviving camps after several were obliterated during the three-day cross-border strikes launched to avenge the Pahalgam massacre of 26 civilians.
Speaking to the media, IG Yadav stated that terrorists are presently stationed at these forward locations, awaiting the onset of heavy winter snowfall and fog that traditionally provide cover for infiltration. He revealed that Pakistan continues systematic attempts to push militants, weapons and narcotics into Jammu & Kashmir, exploiting reduced visibility in the higher reaches before mountain passes become impassable.
In anticipation of the seasonal threat, the BSF and Army have significantly reinforced surveillance along vulnerable stretches with advanced thermal imagers, battlefield surveillance radars, unmanned aerial systems and anti-drone technology. Additional quick-reaction teams have been positioned, while troops have undergone specialised training to counter any escalation similar to the May offensive.

IG Yadav emphasised that Operation Sindoor remains active and has not been formally concluded. He issued a clear warning that any provocation or infiltration bid from across the border will be met with an immediate and proportionate response, underscoring that the security grid is now far more technologically equipped than before the May strikes.
The heightened alert comes seven months after the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack that triggered Operation Sindoor and a brief but intense exchange of fire along the LoC. With launch pads rebuilt and terrorists poised for winter crossings, security forces maintain that every attempt to disturb peace in the Valley will be decisively thwarted.
