#BreakingNews: Nine Suspects Held For Alleged Delhi-Mumbai Attacks, Linked To ISI Network

Suspects allegedly planned attacks in Delhi and Mumbai.

Nine men allegedly linked to Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) and fugitive underworld figure Dawood Ibrahim have been arrested for allegedly plotting attacks in Delhi, Mumbai and other parts of the country, officials said on Saturday. The arrests were made by the Special Cell of the Delhi Police following an extensive surveillance operation.

According to officials, the accused are residents of Delhi, Mumbai and Punjab, while some are foreign nationals. Investigators recovered a large cache of weapons and ammunition during the operation. Preliminary findings suggest that the group had been assigned the task of targeting vital installations and security personnel across multiple locations.

Authorities said the suspected module had identified several critical infrastructure sites as potential targets. These reportedly included nuclear facilities, airports, railway stations and power plants. Security agencies believe the planned attacks could have posed a serious threat to public safety and national security if executed.

Officials revealed that the group had been under surveillance for some time before coordinated action was taken. Investigators are now examining possible cross-border connections, financial networks and the involvement of overseas handlers who may have directed or supported the activities of the accused. Further details are expected to emerge as the probe progresses.

The arrests come at a time when Delhi remains on heightened alert following intelligence inputs about possible terror threats. Security agencies had earlier warned of potential attempts to target crowded areas and prominent establishments in the national capital through suicide attacks, vehicle-borne improvised explosive devices (IEDs), shootings and coordinated strikes. District units have been instructed to maintain close coordination with intelligence agencies and central security forces.

The latest operation underscores ongoing efforts by law enforcement agencies to prevent terror-related activities and dismantle suspected networks operating within the country. Investigators are expected to focus on uncovering the full extent of the alleged conspiracy, identifying additional associates and determining whether the group had operational links beyond India's borders.
