Alcohol-Induced Rage Leads to Death of Young Child in Uttar Pradesh

In a deeply disturbing case of alcohol-induced domestic violence, four-year-old Vikas was tragically killed by his father in the quiet village of Guwali, located in the Suriyawan police station area of Bhadohi district, Uttar Pradesh. The heartbreaking incident, which has sent shockwaves through the local community, occurred late on Saturday night, December 20, 2025, underscoring the severe risks associated with intoxication and unresolved family conflicts.
Ramji Vanvasi, the accused father, arrived home around midnight in a state of heavy intoxication and quickly escalated into a violent argument with his wife over unspecified domestic issues. Overcome by rage, he allegedly lifted his innocent sleeping son from the bed and slammed the child repeatedly onto the hard ground with brutal force, inflicting catastrophic injuries that proved immediately fatal.
Upon hearing the disturbance, distraught family members rushed to the child's aid and made frantic attempts to provide emergency first aid in the hope of saving his life. Tragically, the young boy had already breathed his last due to the severity of the head and bodily trauma sustained in the assault, leaving relatives devastated and helpless.

The following afternoon on Sunday, December 21, the victim's grandmother, Prabhawati Devi, overcame her grief to formally approach the local police station and file a detailed complaint against Ramji Vanvasi. Responding promptly, law enforcement officials registered a case under appropriate sections for murder and launched a search, successfully arresting the suspect who had initially fled the village.
Station House Officer Mohammad Shakeel Khan, overseeing the investigation, verified the accounts provided by witnesses and confirmed that the child's body has been transferred to the morgue for a comprehensive post-mortem examination to document the precise nature and extent of injuries. Authorities continue to probe the full circumstances of this devastating act of familial violence, with further legal proceedings expected.
