AFCAT 2026 Results Declared By Indian Air Force; 385 Candidates Qualify

Indian Air Force releases AFCAT 2026 results with 385 candidates shortlisted for next selection stage.

The Indian Air Force (IAF) has officially announced the results of the Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) 1 2026, with 385 candidates successfully qualifying for the next phase of selection. This announcement marks a key milestone for aspiring officers aiming to join the IAF in various branches including flying, technical, and ground duty roles.

The AFCAT 1 2026 examination was conducted on January 31, 2026, attracting thousands of applicants vying for approximately 340 vacancies across the force. Qualifying candidates will now proceed to the Air Force Selection Board (AFSB) testing, followed by medical examinations, as part of the rigorous multi-stage recruitment process. The results and cut-off marks, expected to range between 140 and 145 out of 300 based on prior trends, were released online after the provisional answer key on February 1.

To check their scorecards, candidates must visit the official IAF website at afcat.edcil.co.in or afcat.cdac.in/AFCAT and log in using their registered email ID and password. The scorecard provides essential details such as the candidate's name, roll number, marks obtained in AFCAT and Engineering Knowledge Test (EKT) if applicable, cut-off scores, and AFSB shortlisting status. This digital process ensures quick access and transparency for all participants.

The AFCAT, held twice annually, serves as the primary gateway for civilians and serving personnel to enter the IAF as commissioned officers. With growing demand for skilled aviators and technical experts amid India's defense modernization efforts, this cycle underscores the IAF's commitment to bolstering its ranks. Successful qualifiers represent a diverse pool of talent ready to contribute to national security.

As shortlisted candidates prepare for AFSB interviews at centers like Dehradun, Mysuru, Gandhinagar, or Varanasi, the IAF emphasizes discipline, leadership, and psychological aptitude in the next rounds. This announcement not only advances individual careers but also strengthens India's aerial defense capabilities in a dynamic geopolitical landscape.

The release aligns with the IAF's timeline, coming weeks after the exam despite earlier expectations by late February, reflecting standard procedural evaluations. Candidates are advised to monitor official channels for AFSB call letters and further instructions to avoid missing deadlines.
