Nandini to Open 120 Milk Parlours Across Bengaluru, Including 30 Near Metro Stations

KMF plans 120 Nandini parlours across Bengaluru locations.

The Karnataka Milk Federation (KMF) will soon open 30 Nandini milk parlours at locations outside metro stations and another 90 parlours at different locations within the Greater Bengaluru Authority limits. The move is aimed at making Nandini dairy products more accessible to consumers and expanding the federation’s presence in Bengaluru’s growing urban market.

A senior KMF official said the federation had held several meetings with the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) before receiving permission to establish the 30 parlours at different metro locations. The outlets will be located outside metro stations, and the federation will not set up kiosks inside the stations. The exact locations for the new parlours are yet to be finalised.

The expansion comes as KMF looks to increase public access to Nandini products, particularly milk and paneer, which are commonly purchased as daily essentials. The federation believes locating outlets in areas with regular public movement will make it easier for people to purchase dairy products when required.

The proposed locations outside metro stations are expected to provide convenient access to commuters and residents without requiring them to travel to dedicated dairy outlets. KMF officials said the availability of Nandini products in such high-footfall areas would help meet everyday consumer demand while also strengthening the distribution network in the city.

In addition to the 30 locations associated with metro stations, KMF plans to establish another 90 parlours at various locations within the Greater Bengaluru Authority limits. Officials indicated that places such as areas near parks, playgrounds and other public spaces could be considered for the outlets, subject to the finalisation of suitable locations.

The expansion is part of KMF’s efforts to bring Nandini products closer to consumers across Bengaluru. A KMF official said milk and paneer were essential daily commodities and that placing parlours near public spaces and transport points would help people buy the products as and when they need them. The locations and rollout schedule for the new outlets are expected to be finalised as the plan progresses.
