Major Textile Player RSWM Signs 60 MW Renewable Power Pact With Adani Energy Solutions
RSWM inks Adani deal for massive renewable energy surge.
India's leading textile maker RSWM, flagship of LNJ Bhilwara Group, has signed a major deal with Adani Energy Solutions Ltd (AESL) to secure 60 MW of renewable power. Under the Group Captive Scheme, RSWM invested Rs 60 crore in a green generation company to supply 31.53 crore units of clean energy yearly to its Rajasthan plants. This bold move will jump its renewable share from 33% to 70% of total energy needs—far above India’s national average of 31%. The shift marks a powerful step toward sustainable manufacturing in a high-energy industry.
RSWM Chairman Riju Jhunjhunwala called it a defining moment in the company’s growth journey. “We’re aligning expansion with responsibility—70% green power isn’t just a target, it’s our new standard,” he said. The switch cuts carbon emissions, locks in stable costs, and strengthens RSWM’s edge with global buyers who demand ESG compliance. In a volatile energy market, this is smart business wrapped in green intent.
Adani’s Kandarp Patel praised the partnership as a model for industrial decarbonization. AESL’s C&I unit delivers customized, affordable green solutions using solar, wind, and hybrid systems. With a goal of 7,000 MW in C&I capacity within five years, this deal showcases how big industries can go green without breaking the bank. AESL’s vast 26,705 ckm network across 16 states ensures reliable delivery—even in power-hungry regions.

RSWM Joint MD Rajeev Gupta added that hybrid renewables bring more than eco-cred. “It means lower risks, better efficiency, and future-ready operations,” he explained. By reducing reliance on coal and diesel, RSWM gains cost control and resilience against outages and price shocks.
In a sector under pressure to clean up, RSWM just raised the bar. From yarn to fabric, its plants now run mostly on sun and wind. Competitors will feel the heat—this isn’t just a power switch, it’s a wake-up call. India’s textile future is green, and RSWM is leading the charge.
