UAE-India Roundtrip Flight Rates Fall Below Rs 27,000 In July
UAE-India flight prices decline amid July fare changes.
Airfares from the UAE to India have dropped by around 20 to 30 per cent in July, offering relief to travellers planning vacations during the month. According to travel agencies, roundtrip ticket prices for some Indian destinations have fallen below Rs 27,000, with several routes now available at significantly lower rates compared with recent weeks.
The decline in fares has been mainly observed on flights to cities in North and West India, where return tickets are available at slightly above Dh1,000. However, travel costs to several South Indian destinations remain comparatively higher, despite recent reductions. Travel agents said the current lower fares are expected to continue only for a short period before prices begin rising ahead of August travel demand.
According to travel industry representatives, destinations such as Delhi, Ahmedabad, Mumbai and Pune are currently offering some of the most affordable options. Wisefox Travel and Tourism manager Subair Thekepurathvalappil said return fares for seven- to 10-day trips in July could start from around Dh1,080 for some routes. He added that South Indian cities, including Kochi, Thiruvananthapuram and Kozhikode, continue to have relatively higher ticket prices.

Travel agent Taha Siddique of Siddique Travel in Mangaluru said fares to coastal Karnataka and other destinations have also reduced recently. He noted that prices have fallen by about 20 per cent, though rates vary depending on the airport of departure. According to him, flights from Abu Dhabi are often cheaper than those from Dubai, while routes to cities such as Chennai and Hyderabad have also seen lower prices.
A fare comparison for travel between July 21 and July 31 showed significant differences between destinations. A return ticket from UAE to Ahmedabad was available for around Rs 26,712, while a trip to Mangaluru was priced much higher at around Rs 50,237, highlighting the gap between northern and southern routes.
Travel agencies attributed the temporary fall in fares to reduced demand following the early summer travel rush. They expect prices to rise again in August as more families plan trips before schools reopen and demand for India-bound flights increases. Travellers planning August journeys have been advised to book tickets early to avoid higher costs.
