Sunaina Roshan "Admitting Alcohol Addiction Changed Everything," Hrithik Reacts with Love
Sunaina Roshan shares how admitting her alcohol addiction transformed her life, with support from brother Hrithik.
Hrithik Roshan’s sister, Sunaina Roshan, has once again opened up about her struggles with alcohol and food addiction, emphasizing how acknowledging the problem marked a turning point in her life. In a recent social media post, she said, “The hardest thing I ever did was admit that I had a problem, but it changed everything. Addiction can take many forms — food, alcohol, even habits we don't realize we're clinging to.”
Sunaina shared that her journey was not easy, describing her battles with alcoholism and unhealthy eating habits. “With the right mindset, support, and a lot of courage to talk about it, I could get myself out of it,” she added. Her post highlighted the importance of courage, healing, and realizing that addiction does not define a person.
Hrithik Roshan reacted to his sister’s post, writing, “Love you, didi,” while their father, Rakesh Roshan, praised her resilience, calling her “an inspiration.” The responses underline the close-knit support system that helped Sunaina navigate her recovery journey.

Reflecting on her rehabilitation period, Sunaina recalled tense moments with Hrithik when only family communication was allowed. “I really fought with my brother over the phone. I yelled and screamed that I wanted to come back home. He said, ‘You are not coming back home. You have to finish this course,’” she revealed, acknowledging the tough love that ultimately helped her stay committed to recovery.
Despite earlier conflicts, Sunaina described Hrithik as her “biggest cheerleader,” admiring his discipline, dedication, and work ethic. “Even though he is younger, he inspires me in so many ways. The way he works out, his consistency, and his resilience despite a knee problem have been very motivating for me,” she said.
On the professional front, Hrithik Roshan was last seen in War 2 and has Krrish 4 lined up, while Sunaina continues to use her platform to raise awareness about addiction, mental health, and the transformative power of family support.
