Shreya Ghoshal Calls Herself Lucky To Have A Supportive Husband

Singer Shreya Ghoshal has opened up about her marriage to entrepreneur Shiladitya Mukhopadhyaya, highlighting the support and understanding they share while managing their professional and family responsibilities. The singer, who has largely kept her personal life away from public attention, described herself as “lucky” to have a partner who shares household responsibilities.
During an interaction with The Male Feminist Podcast, Shreya discussed how she and Shiladitya manage their home despite both having demanding work schedules. She highlighted his willingness to handle everyday chores, including washing dishes and cleaning the kitchen, and noted that he sometimes prefers doing these tasks himself rather than having her take over.
Shreya also spoke about the couple’s approach to responsibilities within their marriage. With both working rigorous hours, she noted that they generally handle household chores together. She also highlighted the trust between them, particularly during periods when her professional commitments require her to spend extended stretches away from home.

The singer further described Shiladitya as someone who has remained secure about their relationship throughout their years together. She noted that neither partner has allowed ego to become an issue in their marriage and suggested that their similar outlook has helped them maintain a strong relationship despite the demands of their careers.
Shreya and Shiladitya have known each other since childhood and have reportedly been friends for nearly three decades. They began dating around the period when Shreya was establishing herself as a professional singer, while Shiladitya was building his career in the technology sector. After around a decade of dating, they married in a traditional Bengali ceremony on February 5, 2015.
The couple welcomed their first child, a son named Devyaan, in 2021 and are based in Mumbai. While Shreya continues to maintain a busy career in music, her comments offered a glimpse into the family life she shares with Shiladitya, with mutual trust, shared responsibilities and their child remaining important parts of their relationship.
