Akanksha Choudhary Recalls Alleged Casting Couch Experience In Entertainment Industry

Reality show contestant Akanksha Choudhary has opened up about an alleged casting couch experience in the entertainment industry, claiming that an influential figure once offered her financial assistance in exchange for sexual favours. She shared the account during her appearance on Lock Upp 2, following her elimination from the show.
Akanksha recalled a phase when she needed around Rs 1-2 lakh to participate in a beauty pageant, including expenses related to clothing, training and other requirements. She said her family was unable to support the cost, following which she approached a well-known person from the pageant industry who had previously judged competitions and was known for helping aspiring participants.
According to Akanksha, she requested financial support and offered to work with the individual for a few months in return. She claimed that the person agreed to help and invited her to his residence. Since she had visited the place earlier, she said she did not suspect any inappropriate intentions before meeting him.

Akanksha alleged that during the meeting, the individual behaved inappropriately and crossed boundaries. She claimed that after an initial interaction, the person allegedly made an offer involving financial assistance in exchange for a sexual relationship. Akanksha said she rejected the proposal immediately and stated that she would not have visited if she had known about his alleged intentions.
The actor further claimed that the individual warned her that she would regret turning down the offer and suggested that it could affect her career growth. Akanksha, however, said she stood by her decision and believed that her achievements came through her own efforts and determination rather than any such arrangement.
Sharing her experience, Akanksha highlighted the challenges faced by aspiring artists trying to enter the entertainment industry. She said that despite the difficulties, she later became part of major projects and platforms through her own work. The allegations made by Akanksha are based on her personal account, and no independent confirmation or response from the person she referred to has been reported.
