Vishwanath And Sons Day 3: Suriya, Mamitha Baiju Film Collects ₹110.22 Crore Worldwide
Suriya film crosses ₹110 crore worldwide in three days.
Vishwanath & Sons, starring Suriya and Mamitha Baiju, has crossed the ₹100 crore mark worldwide within days of its theatrical release. Directed by Venky Atluri, the film arrived in cinemas ahead of the Independence Day weekend and has maintained strong momentum at the box office. The production house Sithara Entertainments announced that the film had crossed ₹100 crore worldwide in just two days.
According to trade tracker Sacnilk, Vishwanath & Sons has collected around ₹58.15 crore net in India and ₹110.22 crore gross worldwide so far. The film recorded a slight decline in domestic collections on Sunday, but its early performance has already placed it among Suriya’s fastest films to reach the ₹100 crore milestone. Its performance has also taken it ahead of the actor’s previous film Retro on comparable three-day figures.
Suriya’s Karuppu, which also stars Trisha Krishnan, remains ahead of Vishwanath & Sons on the three-day comparison. Karuppu reportedly collected ₹68 crore net in India and ₹121.75 crore worldwide during its first three days. Retro, starring Suriya alongside Pooja Hegde and directed by Karthik Subbaraj, collected ₹35 crore net in India and ₹59.21 crore worldwide over the same period.

Vishwanath & Sons is directed by Venky Atluri, known for films including Lucky Baskhar and Vaathi. Produced by Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas, the film features Suriya and Mamitha Baiju in the lead roles, with Radhika Sarathkumar and Raveena Tandon in key parts. The film was released in both Tamil and Telugu, with its Tamil version reportedly performing better at the box office.
The story follows Sanjay Vishwanath, played by Suriya, an industrialist and Olympic medal winner who has a child through surrogacy in the United States to fulfil his mother’s wish of seeing him start a family. When his son faces a medical emergency, Sanjay seeks help from Maddy, played by Mamitha Baiju, the surrogate mother. Their relationship develops from a business arrangement into a romantic connection, complicated by their significant age difference.
Vishwanath & Sons opened to generally positive reviews and has emerged as one of the stronger Tamil releases of the year so far. The film has reportedly been praised for addressing themes including childhood trauma, polygamy and age-gap relationships. With the film entering the weekdays after a strong opening period, its next target will be to sustain collections and close the gap with Karuppu, which remains Suriya’s highest-grossing film in the figures cited.
