Jana Nayagan Box Office Collection Day 10: Vijay Film Records Weekend Surge
Vijay’s Jana Nayagan gains momentum with strong Day 10 earnings.
Vijay-starrer Jana Nayagan witnessed a strong recovery at the box office on its second Saturday, recording a significant rise in collections after a slower Friday. The action drama crossed the Rs 280 crore mark in worldwide gross earnings, while its India net collection moved closer to the Rs 165 crore milestone.
On Day 10, the film earned Rs 7.80 crore net in India, registering a 119.7 per cent jump compared to its Friday collection of Rs 3.55 crore. With this growth, Jana Nayagan’s total India net collection reached Rs 164.90 crore, while its India gross earnings stood at Rs 192.50 crore.
The film also maintained a strong performance in overseas markets, collecting Rs 3 crore on its second Saturday. Its overseas earnings have now reached Rs 88 crore, taking the worldwide gross collection to Rs 280.50 crore. The rise came despite the film playing on fewer screens compared to its opening week, indicating continued audience interest during the weekend.

The Tamil version remained the biggest contributor to the film’s earnings, collecting Rs 7.25 crore from 2,503 shows with an overall occupancy of 51 per cent. The film recorded improved audience turnout during later shows, with night screenings witnessing 61.23 per cent occupancy compared to 28 per cent during morning shows.
The Hindi version collected Rs 50 lakh from 1,571 shows, recording 20 per cent overall occupancy, while the Telugu version added Rs 5 lakh from 128 shows. The film’s second Saturday performance helped it recover after collections slowed during the weekdays following its strong opening.
Jana Nayagan began its box office journey with Rs 42.70 crore on Day 1, followed by Rs 21.15 crore on Day 2, Rs 28.90 crore on Day 3 and Rs 32 crore on Day 4. Directed by H. Vinoth, the film features Vijay alongside Bobby Deol, Pooja Hegde, Mamitha Baiju, Prakash Raj, Priyamani and Gautham Vasudev Menon. The action drama revolves around a former police officer who confronts a powerful opponent while fighting against corruption.
