Two people, including Malayalam actor Ismail, were killed in a road accident in Kerala’s Kannur district after a car reportedly lost control and hit them while they were walking along the roadside on Tuesday evening. The second victim has been identified as Sajeesh, a local resident of Kannavam. The incident has triggered shock in the region as police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash. According to police and local reports, the accident occurred near the Kannavam ration shop when a car travelling from Kannavam towards Koothuparamba veered off the road and struck the two pedestrians.
Eyewitnesses said the impact was severe, and both men sustained critical injuries on the spot. Local residents immediately rushed them to a nearby hospital, but doctors declared them dead on arrival.Authorities suspect that the driver may have fallen asleep while driving, leading to the loss of control of the vehicle. However, police have stated that a detailed investigation is underway to confirm the exact cause of the accident.
