Telangana Beautician, 25, Stabbed to Death by Estranged Husband Inside Secunderabad Spa

Beautician stabbed by estranged husband at spa.

A 25-year-old beautician was allegedly stabbed to death by her estranged husband inside a spa center in the Kavadiguda area of Secunderabad on Tuesday, police said. The victim, identified as Bangi Deborah, was working at the spa when the accused reportedly entered the premises armed with a knife and attacked her in front of staff members. Authorities said the woman suffered severe injuries and collapsed on the spot.

According to police officials, the accused has been identified as 30-year-old Raju, an auto-rickshaw driver and Deborah’s estranged husband. Investigators said the couple had been facing marital disputes for several years and had reportedly been living separately for the past two years. A divorce case between the two was also pending at the time of the incident. Police suspect long-standing domestic conflicts may have led to the fatal attack.

Officials said the accused allegedly confronted Deborah inside the spa before stabbing her multiple times. After carrying out the attack, he fled the scene immediately. Locals reportedly captured video footage showing the accused escaping on a scooter, and police are now examining CCTV footage from the spa and nearby areas as part of the investigation. Witness statements are also being recorded to reconstruct the sequence of events.

Investigators are probing whether suspicion and personal disputes between the couple contributed to the crime. Police also revealed that the accused had previously been linked to a kidnapping case registered in 2016 allegedly involving Deborah when she was a minor. Authorities are examining the couple’s past history as part of the broader investigation into the murder.

The victim’s body was shifted for postmortem examination following the incident. Police said a case has been registered under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, and teams have been formed to trace and arrest the accused, who remains absconding. Officials added that forensic evidence from the crime scene is also being collected.

The incident has once again raised concerns over crimes linked to domestic disputes and violence against women in urban areas. Police said further investigation is underway and additional details will emerge after examination of surveillance footage and witness testimonies. Authorities have appealed to the public to share any information that may help locate the accused.
