Absconding Shine Tom Chacko May have Left Kerala
TV reports talk of another midnight escape drama from another hotel
Reports in Malayalam news channels suggest that the controversial actor Shine Tom Chacko may have fled Kerala with another midnight escape drama at another Kochi hotel.
The actor, who ran away from a hotel after a drug raid on it, reportedly went to a five-star hotel in Kochi's Bolgatty area. The reports claim that the beleaguered actor reached the hotel on a bike. According to the police, Shine had booked a room there. After spending some time at the hotel, the actor left in a car at around 3.15 a.m. (Thursday). The suggestion is that this was a taxi.
Police have intensified their search across districts, including his home town Thrissur, Shine's exact whereabouts, however, remain unknown. Authorities are investigating whether he has crossed state borders or sought refuge with acquaintances. The Kochi police are also questioning hotel staff to determine if Shine received prior information about the raid. In the cinema-style escape at the first hotel, Shine reportedly jumped out of the window of his third-floor room onto a sunshade, which broke on impact. He then leapt into the swimming pool area and exited through the staircase, as captured on CCTV footage.

The Kochi City Police have stated that a notice will be issued to Shine Tom Chacko, requiring him to appear for questioning.
The latest development adds another layer of complexity to the ongoing investigation, which stems from allegations of drug use made by actress Vincy Aloshious. She accused Shine of inappropriate behaviour too on the set of their upcoming film Soothravakyam. Vincy filed a formal complaint with the Kerala Film Chamber of Commerce and the Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA) against Shine. She alleged that Shine used drugs during rehearsals and made her uncomfortable with inappropriate remarks.
