Yash's 'Toxic' Bookings Open August 21, Set for 12,000 Screens
Yash's Toxic opens bookings August 21 for massive worldwide release.
Yash is set to return to the big screen with Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups, with the film expected to release across around 12,000 screens worldwide. Directed by Geetu Mohandas, the gangster drama is scheduled to arrive in theatres on August 26. Advance bookings will open on August 21, coinciding with the Varamahalakshmi festival, giving the film a five-day window to build momentum before its theatrical debut.
The expected screen count places Toxic among the biggest global theatrical releases for an Indian film. While the final number of screens has not yet been officially confirmed, the planned scale reflects the strong expectations surrounding the project. The film marks Yash’s first theatrical release since KGF: Chapter 2 and comes after a four-year gap, increasing anticipation among fans awaiting his next major appearance.
Toxic has secured a broad distribution network across India and overseas markets. KVN Productions will distribute the film in Karnataka, while Panorama Films will handle Kerala. Dil Raju’s Sri Venkateswara Creations will oversee the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana release, while AA Films has acquired distribution rights for North India and Nepal. Tamil Nadu will see distribution through multiple partners, while Phars Film will handle overseas distribution of the Indian-language versions.

The movie will be released in Kannada, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam, along with an English version. The English edition has a separate international distribution arrangement with Lionsgate, with further details about that release expected to be announced.
Produced by Venkat K Narayana’s KVN Productions and Yash’s Monster Mind Creations, Toxic has been mounted as a large-scale gangster drama with an international outlook. Rajeev Ravi has handled cinematography, while Vishal Mishra has composed the music and Ravi Basrur has provided the background score. The project is being positioned as a new franchise opportunity for Yash following the enormous success of the KGF films.
With advance bookings beginning August 21 and the theatrical release scheduled for August 26, Toxic is entering its final promotional phase with significant expectations. Its planned 12,000-screen rollout, multilingual release and extensive international distribution underline the scale of the film’s ambitions. For Yash, the release will also be an important opportunity to establish a new identity beyond the KGF franchise and deliver another major global theatrical success.
