The Odyssey Smashes Rs 100 Crore India Gross Mark on Day 6

Christopher Nolan's fantasy epic The Odyssey continued its theatrical run with a predictable midweek slowdown while achieving a major milestone at the Indian box office. On its sixth day in theatres, the film collected Rs 6.50 crore across all languages, marking a 22.2% decline from Tuesday's earnings of Rs 8.35 crore. Despite the expected weekday drop, the film surpassed the Rs 100 crore mark in India gross collections, underscoring its strong performance since release. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the film's India net collection now stands at Rs 84.15 crore, while its gross collection has reached Rs 100.38 crore.

The film was screened across 8,268 shows on Wednesday, slightly fewer than the 8,520 shows held on Tuesday. The English version remained the primary contributor to the overall collections, earning Rs 5.25 crore from 4,273 shows while registering an overall 60% occupancy. Audience turnout improved steadily throughout the day, rising from 56% during morning shows to 70% during night screenings, indicating stronger evening demand despite the weekday slowdown.

Regional performance showed varying trends across language versions. Chennai recorded the highest occupancy for the English version at 28%, followed by Kochi (19.8%) and Hyderabad (15.5%), while Ahmedabad reported the lowest occupancy at 7.3%. The Hindi version contributed Rs 0.75 crore from 2,881 shows, recording an overall 9% occupancy, with Lucknow emerging as the strongest-performing Hindi-speaking market. Meanwhile, the Telugu version collected Rs 0.30 crore from 660 shows, and the Tamil version earned Rs 0.20 crore from 454 shows, with both versions registering 18% occupancy.

The latest figures reflect a typical weekday correction following a strong opening weekend, while the film continues to maintain a solid theatrical presence across multiple languages. Crossing the Rs 100 crore India gross milestone within six days further reinforces the strong audience response to Nolan's adaptation of the classic Greek epic. Industry observers will now be watching the film's performance over the upcoming weekend to assess whether it can regain momentum and continue its successful run at the Indian box office.
