Actor Suchitra Krishnamoorthi has reacted to reports of Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan planning a third marriage with his girlfriend Gauri Spratt, describing his decision as “very brave” and praising the idea of finding love again later in life. Her comments come amid growing media attention around the actor’s personal life and his reported upcoming intimate wedding ceremony scheduled for July 5.

Speaking to IANS, Suchitra extended her best wishes to Aamir Khan and said that choosing to open one’s heart again is a meaningful and positive step. She noted that marriage today is increasingly a matter of personal choice rather than necessity, adding that individuals should feel free to embrace companionship when they are ready. Her remarks framed the discussion around modern relationships and evolving attitudes toward marriage.

Suchitra further reflected on her own experiences, stating that understanding oneself is essential before committing to a relationship. Shekhar Kapur and Suchitra Krishnamoorthi were married in 1999 and later divorced in 2007, and they share a daughter, Kaveri Kapur. Kapur was 52 and Suchitra was 22 at the time of their marriage. Since then, she has often spoken publicly about independence, self-awareness, and the importance of emotional clarity in relationships.

Aamir Khan, meanwhile, has previously been married twice—first to Reena Dutta and later to Kiran Rao, both of whom he continues to share familial bonds with. He has children from his earlier marriages and remains co-parenting his son Azad with Kiran Rao.
