Global star Priyanka Chopra Jonas continues to carve her path in Hollywood, emphasizing her commitment to portraying characters with substance and strength. At the London premiere of her latest film, Heads of State, the actor spoke about her dedication to roles that leave a lasting impact.
Known for her work in projects like Citadel, Baywatch, The Matrix Resurrections, and Love Again, Priyanka stars alongside Idris Elba and John Cena in the action-comedy Heads of State, streaming on Prime Video from July 2. Directed by Ilya Naishuller (Nobody), the film follows UK Prime Minister Sam Clarke (Elba) and US President Will Derringer (Cena) as they face a global conspiracy, with Priyanka playing MI6 agent Noel Bisset, a sharp-minded operative who aids them.
On the red carpet, Priyanka told PTI, “I want to be proud of my work, so I choose characters with agency—strong roles that contribute meaningfully to the story, not just ornamental ones.” She highlighted the film’s lighthearted appeal, adding, “The world’s in a tough spot, and we need something to make us laugh.”

Describing her character, Noel Bisset, Priyanka praised her strategic brilliance. “She’s always 10 steps ahead, fearless, and a planner—not impulsive. I love that about her,” she said. The 42-year-old actor also shared her philosophy as an artist: perseverance is key. “Focus on your goal, even if you fail multiple times. Keep finding new ways to get there, and surround yourself with people who support you,” she advised.
The star-studded premiere was attended by Priyanka’s husband, Nick Jonas, her cousin Parineeti Chopra, and co-star John Cena. The film, produced by Peter Safran and John Rickard, also features Paddy Considine, Stephen Root, Carla Gugino, Jack Quaid, and Sarah Niles.
Heads of State promises a thrilling blend of action and humor, with Priyanka’s Noel Bisset at the heart of the mission to save the world. The film is now streaming on Prime Video.
