Pedro Pascal Slams J.K. Rowling Over Anti-Trans Views: ‘Heinous Loser Behavior’
Pascal has long been vocal about his support for trans rights, particularly in connection to his sister, trans actress Lux Pascal.
Pedro Pascal has publicly criticised author J.K. Rowling for her anti-trans rhetoric, calling her a “heinous loser” in a scathing comment on Instagram. The ‘Last of Us’ star reacted to Rowling's continued celebration of a recent UK Supreme Court ruling that declared trans women should not be legally recognised as women.
Rowling, who has faced years of backlash for her views on gender and sex, posted a photo shortly after the ruling showing her smoking a cigar and holding a drink. The caption read: “I love it when a plan comes together. #SupremeCourt #WomensRights.” In a separate post aimed at critics burning her books, she wrote, “I get the same royalties whether you read them or burn them. Enjoy your marshmallows!”
Pascal responded to a video post criticising Rowling’s reaction to the ruling. “Awful disgusting s*** is exactly right. Heinous LOSER behavior,” the actor commented.

The actor’s statement quickly gained traction, with many praising him for standing up for the trans community. Pascal has long been vocal about his support for trans rights, particularly in connection to his sister, trans actress Lux Pascal. In a 2023 interview with Esquire, he described her as “one of the most powerful people and personalities” he has ever known and said, “My protective side is lethal, but I need her more than she needs me.”
Rowling’s remarks continue to ignite heated debates, especially as the cultural and legal battle over trans rights intensifies in the UK and beyond. Meanwhile, Pascal’s strong stance adds to a growing chorus of Hollywood voices pushing back against what they see as harmful and regressive rhetoric targeting the trans community.
