No Regrets About Being a 'Flowerpot' in KGF: Srinidhi Shetty Calls It a Dream Debut
Shetty credited KGF for her popularity, even if the film's success didn’t immediately translate into more work.
South actor Srinidhi Shetty says she has no regrets about being called a "flowerpot" in her 2018 debut film ‘KGF: Chapter 1’, describing it as a "dream project" she consciously chose to be a part of.
In Prashanth Neel's blockbuster KGF franchise, Shetty played the spirited Reena Desai opposite Yash’s Rocky. Despite the limited scope of her role, the 32-year-old actor told PTI she was fully aware of its size from the beginning. "I didn’t mind being a flowerpot because when the project came to me, it was a dream. I knew my role was small, but I wanted to be part of it," she said. "Now, if you ask me whether I’d do similar roles again, I would think about it carefully. But there’s nothing wrong or right about it. It was a conscious choice."
Shetty credited KGF for her popularity, even if the film's success didn’t immediately translate into more work. "The fame and love I received are because of KGF. It takes time, and I also take my time choosing what I want to do," she said, adding that success hadn't changed her as a person.

Up next, Shetty will be seen in ‘HIT: The Third Case’, starring Telugu actor Nani. She plays Mrudula in the action thriller directed by Sailesh Kolanu. While her character is "Mrudula is a flowerpot," Nani emphasized it is not a typical flowerpot role.
Shetty recalled first meeting Nani at a film pooja, never imagining they would work together. "I was like a happy puppy, telling him how much we love him in Karnataka," she said.
‘HIT: The Third Case’ is set for release on May 1.
