Oscar-winning actress Michelle Yeoh is set to captivate audiences in The Surgeon, a stylized action thriller written and directed by Rohan Sethi, as reported by Variety.

The Crazy Rich Asians star, who clinched the Best Actress Academy Award in 2023 for Everything Everywhere All at Once, will portray a retired surgeon thrust into a high-stakes crisis after being abducted and forced to operate on a mysterious patient.

At 62, Yeoh continues to dominate the screen, fresh off her role as Madame Morrible in Wicked, the November 2024 musical hit directed by Jon M. Chu, alongside Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo.

Known for her dynamic performances in action films like Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, Yeoh’s casting in The Surgeon promises intense drama and her signature martial arts prowess.
