Kartik Aaryan Recovers at Home After Knee Surgery, Says Spokesperson

Kartik Aaryan recovers after knee surgery following on-set injury.

Actor Kartik Aaryan has undergone successful knee surgery at a Mumbai hospital after sustaining an injury while performing an action sequence for his upcoming film with director Kabir Khan. The actor has now returned home and is recovering, with his spokesperson confirming that he is expected to resume shooting after completing his recovery. The injury occurred during filming and required medical treatment before he could continue with his professional commitments.

According to a statement from Kartik’s spokesperson, the actor injured his knee while performing an action sequence on the film set. His surgery was completed successfully, and he is currently resting at home. The spokesperson said Kartik would be back on set soon, although the actor will need some recovery time before returning to physically demanding work.

Kartik was admitted to Fortis Raheja Hospital in Mumbai following the injury and remained under medical supervision. The actor had previously suffered a knee injury while filming his 2023 film Shehzada. His latest injury has once again temporarily interrupted his shooting schedule, but the production team is expected to adjust his commitments while he recuperates.

The injury comes during a significant year in Kartik’s career. In July, he won the Best Actor in a Leading Role award at the 72nd National Film Awards for his performance as Paralympic gold medallist Murlikant Petkar in Chandu Champion. Directed by Kabir Khan, the biographical sports drama marked a physically demanding role for the actor and earned him his first National Award.

Kartik shared the Best Actor honour with Malayalam veteran Mammootty, who was recognised for his performance in Bramayugam. Reacting to his win, Kartik described the achievement as the fulfilment of a long-held dream and expressed gratitude for the recognition. The award added a major milestone to his career as he continues to take on physically and emotionally demanding roles.

Following his recovery, Kartik is expected to return to the sets of Kabir Khan’s untitled project. He is also scheduled to complete the remaining portions of Anurag Basu’s romantic drama, in which he stars opposite Sreeleela. For now, the actor is focusing on recuperation after surgery, with his team maintaining that he will return to filming once he is ready.
