BALDWIN CONTEMPLATED SUICIDE!! Alec Baldwin Battled Guilt After ‘Rust’ Shooting

Alec Baldwin contemplated suicide and developed serious health issues following his fatal shooting of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the set of ‘Rust’, his wife Hilaria Baldwin revealed in their new TLC reality show, ‘The Baldwins’.
In Sunday’s episode, Hilaria recalled discovering text messages from the day after the 2021 tragedy, where Baldwin expressed his anguish. “He said he wanted to kill himself. He has survivor’s guilt. He goes back to that day; he wishes it were him,” she said. The 66-year-old actor, she added, has been hospitalised multiple times due to heart problems since the incident.
The manslaughter charge against Baldwin was dropped in July 2023, but the legal battle continues. Hutchins' family and Rust script supervisor Mamie Mitchell have filed civil lawsuits against him. Baldwin has struggled to revive his career. “Opportunities for jobs have been so few and far in between,” he admitted in the episode. “A lot of people cut my throat in this business.”
Hutchins’ family, however, condemned ‘The Baldwins’, accusing the actor of profiting from tragedy. “Alec Baldwin has compounded the pain of Halyna’s parents and sister by monetising his notoriety in a TLC reality show, where he takes on the role of victim after he shot and killed Halyna,” attorney Gloria Allred said in a statement. She also criticised Baldwin for never apologising to Hutchins’ parents.
Allred added that Baldwin never apologised to the late cinematographer's parents and "has never taken responsibility for Halyna's death." She said: "Instead, he entered into a money-making deal with TLC."
