Actor and producer Patrick Muldoon has died at the age of 57 after reportedly suffering a heart attack on April 19, 2026, leaving fans and the entertainment industry in shock. Known for his long-standing presence on television and film, Muldoon’s sudden passing has prompted an outpouring of tributes from colleagues and audiences alike.
Born in 1968 in San Pedro, California, Muldoon pursued his early education at the University of Southern California, where he also played college football for the Trojans. He began his acting career while still a student, appearing in shows such as Who's the Boss? and Saved by the Bell, which helped him gain early recognition in the industry.
Muldoon rose to prominence with his portrayal of Austin Reed in the popular soap opera Days of Our Lives. He first appeared in the role from 1992 to 1995 and later reprised it between 2011 and 2012. His television career also included a notable role as Richard Hart in Melrose Place, where his character became central to several dramatic storylines.

In film, Muldoon was widely recognised for his role in the 1997 science fiction movie Starship Troopers, directed by Paul Verhoeven. Muldoon is survived by his partner Miriam Rothbart, his parents, and his sister Shana Zappa and her family.
