India Debuts AI-Immersive Fashion Show With Shahid Kapoor and Tamannaah as Showstoppers

India’s first AI-immersive fashion show blends couture, holograms, and tech with Shahid Kapoor and Tamannaah as showstoppers.

India witnessed its first-ever AI-powered immersive fashion show on Tuesday evening as the Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) unveiled “Futureverse of Fashion” at the ongoing India Fashion Tour in Gurugram. The groundbreaking spectacle, created in collaboration with designers Falguni and Shane Peacock, transformed the traditional runway into a living digital canvas where artificial intelligence, holographic projections, motion-sensing visuals, and humanoid robots fused seamlessly with haute couture. Organisers described the event as a definitive statement on “Fashion’s Next Move”, pushing the boundaries of how audiences experience and interact with design.

Bollywood stars Shahid Kapoor and Tamannaah Bhatia served as showstoppers for Falguni Shane Peacock’s collection, which featured futuristic silhouettes layered with intricate embroidery and metallic textures. Tamannaah walked the ramp alongside humanoid robots, while dynamic AI-generated projections responded in real time to every step of the models, creating an ever-evolving narrative on massive LED walls. The climax arrived when Shahid Kapoor appeared in a dramatic holographic entrance that blurred the line between physical presence and virtual avatar, earning a standing ovation from the audience.

The technology-driven showcase marked a significant departure from conventional fashion presentations. Motion-capture systems translated each model’s movement into cascading digital patterns that “stitched” the storyline across the venue, while generative AI created unique visual motifs that complemented the garments in real time. Attendees described the experience as entering a parallel universe where fabric, light, and code coexisted, signalling a new era in which fashion is no longer static but an interactive, immersive medium.

With this event, India has positioned itself at the forefront of global fashion-tech innovation, proving that the marriage of couture and cutting-edge technology can transcend geographical boundaries. Industry leaders hailed the FDCI production as a blueprint for the future, where the runway becomes a portal rather than a mere stage. As the tour continues across the country, “Futureverse of Fashion” has set a new benchmark that designers and technologists worldwide will be watching closely.
