VIBE Starring Kunal Kemmu, Preity Zinta To Release On September 18

Kunal Kemmu, Preity Zinta’s VIBE releases on September 18.

The upcoming film VIBE, starring Kunal Kemmu and Preity Zinta, is set to release in cinemas on September 18, as announced by Amazon MGM Studios on Tuesday through a motion poster reveal. The makers introduced the project with a promotional tagline highlighting its energetic tone, stating: “Punch aur punchline dono guaranteed with VIBE,” signalling a blend of action and comedy elements.

The announcement has generated interest among audiences, particularly due to Preity Zinta’s return to the big screen after a gap. VIBE is written and directed by Kunal Kemmu himself and features him in a lead role alongside Preity Zinta. The cast also includes Sparsh Shrivastava and debutant Vanshika Dhir, indicating a mix of established performers and new talent.

The film is positioned as a high-energy entertainer centred on friendship and unpredictable circumstances. According to the official synopsis, the story revolves around two inseparable friends whose ordinary lives suddenly spiral into a chaotic and fast-paced adventure. The narrative is expected to focus on survival, emotional bonding, and humour-driven conflict as the characters navigate unexpected challenges.

Preity Zinta, speaking earlier about the project, said she was immediately drawn to the script after finding it extremely humorous. She reportedly remarked that the writing made her “laugh out loud,” which influenced her decision to take on the role.

The film also adds to Preity Zinta’s upcoming slate, which includes her appearance alongside Sunny Deol in Lahore 1947, a separate high-profile project that reunites several major industry names, including director Rajkumar Santoshi and producer Aamir Khan. With its theatrical release scheduled for September 18, VIBE is being positioned as a commercial entertainer aimed at a wide audience, with promotional activity expected to intensify closer to the release date.
