Suniel Shetty Hails Ranveer Singh as 100/10 in Blockbuster Dhurandhar
Veteran actor Suniel Shetty praises the stellar performances of Akshaye Khanna and Ranveer Singh in the hit spy thriller Dhurandhar.
The spy action thriller Dhurandhar, directed by Aditya Dhar and released on December 5, 2025, continues its unstoppable run at the box office. Starring Ranveer Singh as undercover RAW agent Hamza (alias Jaskirat Singh Rangi), the film follows a high-stakes mission to infiltrate Karachi’s notorious Lyari gang and dismantle terror networks from within. Akshaye Khanna delivers a chilling portrayal of gangster Rehman Dakait, supported by an ensemble cast including Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, and Sara Arjun. The movie has shattered records, amassing over Rs 869 crore domestically and claiming the title of the highest-grossing Hindi film ever.
In a recent interview with NDTV while promoting his upcoming reality show Bharat Ke Super Founders, veteran actor Suniel Shetty showered praise on Dhurandhar. He described the film as “an insane film” and lauded its massive scale, ambition, and gripping execution. Shetty, who shares a long-standing camaraderie with Akshaye Khanna from their Border days, highlighted the outstanding performances across the board. He called Akshaye Khanna “ten on ten,” emphasizing his fantastic acting skills and commanding screen presence as the menacing Rehman Dakait.
However, Shetty reserved his highest acclaim for Ranveer Singh, declaring him “100 out of 10.” He stressed that Ranveer’s true brilliance lay in his restraint rather than overt heroism. While Akshaye’s role demanded expressive intensity, Ranveer’s character required subtle control, silence, and understated power—qualities he executed phenomenally. Shetty exclaimed, “It is Ranveer Singh all the way,” crediting him for carrying the film with effortless dominance. Looking ahead, Shetty expressed excitement for the sequel, envisioning Ranveer as “legendary” in Dhurandhar 2 and giving “hats off to the kid” for his phenomenal work.
