Soha Ali Khan Reveals Saif Ali Khan’s Rebel Childhood Antics

In a candid interview with Mashable India on September 19, 2025, actress Soha Ali Khan offered a glimpse into the rebellious childhood of her brother, Bollywood star Saif Ali Khan, shedding light on their unique sibling dynamic shaped by a significant age difference. The Rang De Basanti actress, who is nine years younger than Saif, recounted how their parents used his wild antics as a cautionary tale, while also reflecting on the distant yet evolving bond they shared growing up.

Soha described Saif as a “rebel” during his childhood, recalling how his unpredictable behavior transformed the energy of their household. “He was sort of a rebel as a child, and my parents used to take his example and tell us what not to do,” she shared. Notably, Soha was barred from sleeping in Saif’s former room due to his habit of sneaking out through the window at night and returning at odd hours. “They thought I already looked like him, so I should at least not turn out like him,” she added with a laugh. Saif’s unpredictable appearances, often sporting red, blonde, or long hair, added an element of excitement whenever he returned home.

The nine-year age gap between the siblings contributed to a distant relationship during their early years. “Bhai and I are nine years apart, which is a lot,” Soha explained. When she was born, Saif left for studies at Winchester College in the UK, and upon his return, he dove into his film career while Soha pursued her education at Oxford University. “He was a mystery to me while growing up because he used to study in Winchester and would only come home for the holidays, and he did whatever he wanted to do,” she said. It was only after Soha moved to Mumbai that the siblings began spending meaningful time together, fostering a closer bond.
