Rakesh Roshan Calls Rs 500 Crore Krrish 4 Budget Reports "Nonsense"

Rakesh Roshan denies budget rift, says Krrish 4 production remains smooth.

Veteran filmmaker Rakesh Roshan has dismissed reports claiming that his son, Hrithik Roshan, demanded a budget of Rs 500 crore for the highly anticipated superhero film Krrish 4. The speculation had sparked widespread discussion about the project's scale, budget, and production timeline. Roshan categorically rejected the reports, describing them as baseless and inaccurate.

Speaking to the media, Rakesh Roshan said there was no truth to claims that Hrithik wanted an enormous budget to accommodate world-class visual effects and large-scale action sequences. Reports had suggested that producers were unwilling to approve such spending, leading to disagreements over the film's future. However, Roshan dismissed the rumors, insisting that there were no conflicts among those involved in the project.

The filmmaker emphasized that creating a successful film for a broad audience requires time and careful planning. Drawing comparisons with previous installments of the Krrish franchise, he noted that every film in the series had taken considerable time to develop. According to him, the current pace of work on Krrish 4 is part of the natural filmmaking process rather than the result of budget disputes or creative differences.

Addressing concerns about delays, Rakesh Roshan revealed that Hrithik's busy schedule has also contributed to the project's extended timeline. He jokingly remarked that Hrithik was "on another planet" while everyone else waited for his dates. Despite the delays, Roshan stressed that the collaboration between himself, Hrithik, and filmmaker Aditya Chopra remains smooth and that the project continues to move forward through collective teamwork.

Last year, Rakesh Roshan announced a major milestone for the franchise by revealing that Hrithik Roshan would make his directorial debut with Krrish 4. Sharing the news on social media, he reflected on launching Hrithik as an actor 25 years ago and expressed pride in seeing him take on a new creative role. The filmmaker described the project as one of their most ambitious ventures and extended his blessings for Hrithik's journey as a director.

The Krrish franchise remains one of India's most successful superhero film series, with fans eagerly awaiting the next chapter. While speculation surrounding the film's budget and production has continued to surface, the latest clarification from Rakesh Roshan appears to have put many rumors to rest. Earlier, the filmmaker indicated that the team is targeting a 2027 release for Krrish 4, raising expectations among audiences looking forward to the return of the iconic superhero.
