Nandish Sandhu: Smriti Mandhana & Palash Muchhal Shared 6 Years of Deep Love

Nandish Sandhu says Smriti Mandhana and Palash Muchhal were madly in love for six years.

Actor Nandish Sandhu has spoken publicly about the cancelled wedding of Indian Cricketer Smriti Mandhana and Music Composer Palash Muchhal, saying the couple had been deeply committed to each other for several years. The wedding, scheduled for November 23, 2025, in Sangli, Maharashtra, was called off just a day before the ceremony, sparking widespread speculation.

In an interview with Miss Malini, Nandish said he had travelled to Sangli to attend the wedding and was present when it was abruptly postponed. He stated that guests were informed the ceremony was delayed due to a medical emergency involving Smriti Mandhana’s father. According to him, the same explanation was communicated to family members, friends, and the media at the time.

Nandish chose not to comment directly on allegations of infidelity leveled against Palash Muchhal, saying it would be appropriate for Palash to present his own side. He added that, to his knowledge, Palash had not been approached by many people for clarification before reports surfaced. The actor expressed disappointment over how the situation unfolded publicly.

Reflecting on the couple’s relationship, Nandish said he had personally witnessed their bond over several years. He described them as “madly in love” for nearly six years and called them a “cute and genuine couple.” He added that the cancellation came as a shock to many who were close to them.

Following the postponement, reports emerged that Palash Muchhal had also been admitted to hospital for viral symptoms and acidity-related complications. On December 7, the couple officially announced that the wedding had been called off. In a later interview, Palash spoke about the emotional strain on both families and appealed for privacy and positivity during the difficult period.

The situation drew further attention after a person claiming to be a close friend of Smriti Mandhana made serious allegations against Palash in media interviews. These claims have not been legally established, and Palash has not publicly responded in detail.

Since the cancellation, Palash Muchhal has maintained a low public profile, making only limited appearances. Smriti Mandhana, meanwhile, has remained focused on her cricketing commitments and is currently leading Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the Women’s Premier League 2026.
