Palash Muchhal Responds To Cheating And ₹40 Lakh Fraud Claims

Palash Muchhal denies cheating and ₹40 lakh fraud allegations from Smriti Mandhana’s friend, plans legal action.

Music Composer Palash Muchhal has issued a strong response after facing serious allegations of cheating and financial fraud levelled against him by Vidnyan Mane, a childhood friend of Indian Women’s Cricketer Smriti Mandhana. The accusations surfaced days after Muchhal and Mandhana’s wedding was officially called off, putting the former under intense public scrutiny.

Taking to Instagram, Muchhal categorically denied all allegations, stating that the claims were false and intended to damage his reputation. In his statement, he said he would not remain silent and would pursue the matter through legal channels to protect his name and dignity.

“In light of the allegations made by Sangli-based Vidnyan Mane on social media, I wish to state that these claims against me are entirely baseless and factually incorrect,” Muchhal wrote. He further added that the accusations were made with malicious intent and that his legal team is actively exploring all available remedies.

The controversy began when Mane alleged that Muchhal was caught with another woman during his wedding celebrations with Smriti Mandhana in November 2025. Mane claimed the incident led to a confrontation and further alleged that Muchhal was assaulted by Indian women cricketers present at the event—claims that have not been independently verified.

In addition to the cheating allegations, Mane accused Muchhal of defrauding him of over ₹40 lakh and stated that he has filed a complaint in Sangli. He claimed to possess evidence in the form of chats and call recordings to support his allegations, further intensifying the controversy.

Palash Muchhal and Smriti Mandhana were reportedly set to marry in November 2025, but the wedding was postponed following a medical emergency involving Mandhana’s father. A month later, both announced through social media that the wedding had been called off, citing personal reasons. With legal action now imminent, the matter is expected to unfold further in the coming days.
