Mika Singh Questions Diljit Dosanjh’s Border 2 Promotion, Points To Sardaar Ji 3 With Hania Aamir

Mika Singh questions Diljit’s promotional focus on Border 2.

Punjabi singer Mika Singh has questioned actor-singer Diljit Dosanjh’s approach to promoting his Bollywood projects, particularly Border 2. Speaking to Times Now, Mika expressed disappointment over what he described as limited promotion of the war drama, while pointing to Diljit’s social media activity around Sardaar Ji 3, which also featured Pakistani actor Hania Aamir.

Mika said he had expected Diljit to give greater visibility to Border 2, which was directed by Anurag Singh and featured Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Ahan Shetty and Diljit in prominent roles. He questioned why Diljit had not publicly spoken more about working alongside Deol or promoted the film more extensively on social media. Mika also referred to the absence of posts about the film after its release.

At the same time, Mika highlighted Diljit’s association with Sardaar Ji 3, in which he starred alongside Neeru Bajwa and Hania Aamir. The film attracted attention after Hania’s casting became controversial amid heightened India-Pakistan tensions following the Pahalgam terror attack. It was released in overseas markets in June 2025 but did not receive a theatrical release in India.

Mika argued that Diljit should promote all of his projects regardless of the cast or language of the film. He particularly questioned the perceived difference in social media attention given to Sardaar Ji 3 and Border 2, while also pointing out that Neeru Bajwa's involvement in the former film received comparatively little mention in his posts. Mika said his comments were intended as advice from one artist to another.

Diljit had been involved in the promotional campaign for Border 2 before its release. He unveiled his first look from the film in December 2025 and also shared behind-the-scenes material related to the project. The film, directed by Anurag Singh, brought together a major ensemble cast and continued the franchise established by the earlier Border film.

Mika maintained that his comments were motivated by his concern for Diljit and the importance of his Bollywood projects. He questioned why an actor working in Hindi cinema would not actively promote those films and argued that Border 2 deserved greater visibility because of its subject and scale. The remarks have brought renewed attention to the differing approaches taken by actors and musicians toward promoting their projects.
