Aditya Dhar, Yami Gautam Reportedly Plan Permanent Move To Himachal Pradesh

The couple reportedly plans to split time between Mandi and Mumbai.

Filmmaker Aditya Dhar and actor Yami Gautam Dhar may be shifting their permanent base from Mumbai to Himachal Pradesh following the success of Dhurandhar, according to a report by The Free Press Journal. The couple are reportedly spending more time at their property in Gohar, Mandi, and may have made the hill state their primary home. While there has been no official confirmation from the couple, their long-standing connection with Himachal Pradesh has added context to the reported move.

Yami has maintained a close association with Himachal Pradesh for several years, including through a heritage property in Gohar. She had purchased a 100-year-old house along with a 25-acre plot, with the property featuring traditional wood and stone construction. The surroundings also include organic kitchen gardens where the couple are reportedly growing produce such as apples, potatoes, plums and ginger.

The property holds particular personal significance for the couple as it was also the location of their wedding in June 2021. Their connection to the region has therefore extended beyond occasional visits or holidays. The reported decision to spend more time in Himachal comes after years in which Mumbai remained central to their professional commitments, with the couple previously living in a rented apartment in Khar West.

Aditya has largely maintained a low public profile following the success of Dhurandhar. One of his recent public appearances was at the National Film Awards ceremony in Gujarat, where he and Yami were recognised for their work on Article 370. Aditya received the award as a producer, while Yami was honoured for her performance in the film.

The couple have also generally kept details of their personal life away from public attention. They welcomed their son Vedavid in May 2024 but have chosen not to reveal his face publicly. When Yami shared a photograph with her son in September 2025, his face was kept out of view, reflecting the couple's preference to maintain privacy around their family life.

If the reported relocation becomes permanent, Himachal Pradesh could mark a new home base for the couple while their professional work continues to require travel. For Yami, in particular, the move would represent a return to a region with which she has maintained a strong personal connection for years, while the couple's Gohar property has already served as an important part of their family life.
