Bollywood actor Kirti Kulhari has allegedly become the victim of a cyber fraud after unknown criminals used her credit card details to carry out unauthorised transactions worth ₹2.44 lakh abroad. Following her complaint, the Amboli police in Mumbai have registered a case against unidentified persons and started an investigation into the alleged financial scam. According to reports, the cyber criminals allegedly obtained access to Kulhari’s credit card information and used it to make multiple transactions outside India without her permission. The actor discovered the suspicious activity after noticing unauthorised deductions linked to her card account.
After identifying the fraudulent transactions, Kulhari approached the Mumbai Police and filed a complaint regarding the misuse of her financial details. Acting on her complaint, officials from the Amboli police station registered a case against unknown individuals under relevant sections related to cybercrime and financial fraud. The police have begun investigating the matter to identify the people responsible for the alleged scam. Authorities are expected to examine transaction records, digital trails, banking details and other available evidence to trace the accused and determine how the credit card information was compromised.
