Kangana Ranaut Film Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata Made Tax-Free In Haryana
Haryana declares Kangana Ranaut’s film tax-free after CM screening.
Kangana Ranaut’s film Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata has been declared tax-free in Haryana following a special screening attended by Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini in Chandigarh. The announcement was made shortly after the screening of the film, which is based on the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks and focuses on events depicted in a hospital setting during the crisis. This marks the second state to grant tax exemption to the film in its opening week, following a similar decision earlier in Delhi.
The special screening was attended by the Chief Minister along with Kangana and senior state officials. After viewing the film, CM Saini praised its message, stating that it carries a strong sense of inspiration and public duty. He said that films which motivate citizens and highlight themes of courage and service should be widely viewed, adding that the decision to make the film tax-free would help it reach a larger audience across Haryana.
Saini also linked the film’s theme to national resilience, referring to the collective impact of the 26/11 Mumbai attacks and India’s continued focus on strengthening national security. He said the film reflects values of bravery and public service and emphasized that such stories contribute to awareness about sacrifice and duty in times of crisis.

Actor and co-producer Kangana expressed gratitude to the Haryana government for its decision, saying it would help the film reach more viewers. She also appreciated the Chief Minister’s support and highlighted his work in social initiatives, particularly those aimed at women’s empowerment in the state. Ranaut said the tax exemption would ensure the film’s message reaches a wider audience across Haryana.
The screening event in Chandigarh was part of a broader promotional tour focused on honouring frontline workers and public servants. Several local medical professionals and community workers were also recognised during the programme for their contributions. Kangana later thanked the Chief Minister on social media, stating that the film is dedicated to “unsung heroes” and expressing appreciation for the opportunity to showcase the story to a larger public.
Directed by Manoj Tapadia, Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata was released in theatres on June 12. The film shifts attention from the widely portrayed Taj Hotel siege during the 26/11 attacks to events at Cama and Albless Hospital, where medical staff and nurses are depicted as protecting patients during the terror assault. The ensemble cast includes Girija Oak, Smita Tambe, Amrutha Namdev, Esha Dey, Priya Berde, Asha Shelar, Suhita Thatte and Rasika Aghase, along with Aditya Mishra and Zahid Khan.
