Dacoit Day 1 Collection: Adivi Sesh Film Earns Rs 6.50 Crore Nett in India, Rs 13.57 Crore Worldwide
Dacoit earned Rs 6.50 crore nett domestically and Rs 6 crore overseas on Day 1.
The action thriller Dacoit, starring Adivi Sesh and Mrunal Thakur, opened to a steady start at the box office, registering a worldwide gross of over ₹13 crore on its first day of release. The film, which was released in both Telugu and Hindi, managed to draw audiences across multiple regions, with strong early momentum in southern states. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the film’s opening performance reflects a moderate but stable theatrical debut for the action drama.
On the domestic front, Dacoit collected around ₹6.50 crore nett across approximately 3,800 shows in India. This translated into a domestic gross of about ₹7.57 crore. The film saw a noticeable upward trend in occupancy throughout the day, particularly in Telugu-speaking markets, where audience turnout improved from morning to night shows, indicating positive word-of-mouth traction in key centres.
Overseas markets contributed significantly to the film’s global start, adding nearly ₹6 crore to the total earnings. This pushed the worldwide box office collection to approximately ₹13.57 crore on Day 1. Hyderabad emerged as the strongest performing city, recording the highest number of shows and an overall occupancy rate of over 60%, while Bengaluru also contributed steady footfall despite comparatively lower occupancy levels.

Regionally, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana led the domestic box office with combined gross collections of around ₹5.50 crore. Karnataka added approximately ₹80 lakh, while other Indian regions contributed nearly ₹1.10 crore collectively. However, the film witnessed limited traction in Tamil Nadu and Kerala, where earnings remained relatively low at ₹15 lakh and ₹2 lakh, respectively, indicating uneven regional performance.
In terms of language performance, the Telugu version significantly outperformed the Hindi release. While Telugu screenings saw growing audience engagement, the Hindi version recorded an overall occupancy of just under 18%, reflecting limited reach in the northern belt during its opening day. Despite this, the film maintained a stable nationwide presence.
Compared to Adivi Sesh’s earlier films, Dacoit has opened on a comparatively stronger note, edging past the Day 1 collections of HIT 2 and performing better than Major under normal theatrical conditions. For Mrunal Thakur, the film has delivered a stronger opening than Do Deewane Seher Mein, though it still trails behind her higher-performing releases such as Son of Sardaar 2.
