Border 2 Roars to 66.7 Crore on Day 2 with Massive Jump
Sunny Deol starrer Border 2 surges to Rs 66.7 crore domestically after strong Saturday collections and positive word-of-mouth.
Border 2 continued its powerful box office run on its second day, recording a significant jump in earnings. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the war drama collected Rs 36.7 crore on Saturday, pushing its total domestic net collection to Rs 66.7 crore within just two days of release.
The film, which features an ensemble cast including Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, and Ahan Shetty, achieved an overall Hindi occupancy of 41.58% on Saturday. Evening and night shows performed exceptionally well, hitting a peak occupancy of 61.70%, indicating strong audience turnout during prime hours.
Kamal Gianchandani, CEO of PVR INOX Pictures, expressed strong optimism about the film’s trajectory. He highlighted the impressive growth from opening day, positive word-of-mouth, and robust performance in key markets such as Rajasthan, Gujarat, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, and Mumbai. He projected that Border 2 could cross Rs 150 crore by the end of the extended weekend, boosted by Monday’s Republic Day holiday.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh echoed this sentiment on X, noting that glowing reviews and audience appreciation are expected to drive even bigger numbers over the weekend, with the Republic Day holiday likely delivering the film’s highest single-day collection.
Directed by Anurag Singh, Border 2 serves as the much-awaited sequel to J.P. Dutta’s iconic 1997 patriotic war film Border. The new installment is already drawing comparisons to 2025’s biggest Hindi grosser Dhurandhar (starring Ranveer Singh), which had collected Rs 60 crore in its first two days. With momentum building and a long weekend ahead, Border 2 appears poised for a blockbuster extended run at the box office.
