Bollywood Icon Hema Malini Among First Buyers of MG M9 Luxury MPV
BJP MP Hema Malini adds the premium MG M9 electric MPV to her collection, celebrating with a traditional puja.
Veteran Bollywood actress and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Member of Parliament from Mathura, Hema Malini, has made headlines with her latest acquisition: the MG M9 luxury electric MPV, priced at ₹69.90 lakh (ex-showroom). Launched in July 2025 by JSW MG Motor, the premium vehicle marks Malini’s second purchase from the brand, joining her existing MG Hector.
The purchase was celebrated with a traditional puja, captured in a viral social media video shared by paparazzo Viral Bhayani. Dressed elegantly in a pink suit, Malini unveiled her Pearl Lustre White MG M9, adorned with balloons and family photos, and performed rituals for prosperity before taking the driver’s seat. The MPV is also available in Metal Black and Concrete Grey, boasting a modern design with a trapezoidal mesh grille, split LED headlights, and connected DRLs.
The MG M9 offers a luxurious interior, featuring 16-way adjustable seats with eight massage options, heating, and ventilation, alongside a yacht-style dual sunroof and 64-color ambient lighting. A 13-speaker audio system with a subwoofer and amplifier enhances the premium experience. Powered by a 90 kWh NMC battery, the MPV delivers 245 hp and 350 Nm of torque, with a claimed range of 548 km. It includes an 11 kW wall box charger and a 3.3 kW portable charger, catering to modern electric vehicle needs.

Malini, among the first buyers of the MG M9, continues to blend tradition with modernity, as seen in her festive Ganeshotsav celebration marking the purchase. Her choice underscores the vehicle’s appeal as a spacious, feature-rich option rivaling the Kia Carnival and Toyota Vellfire.
