Rom-Com 'Sunny Sanskari ki Tulsi Kumari' completes shoot
Bollywood heartthrob Varun Dhawan announced the completion of shooting for his upcoming romantic-comedy Sunny Sanskari ki Tulsi Kumari, set to hit theaters on October 2, 2025. Directed by Shashank Khaitan, known for hits like Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania and Badrinath Ki Dulhania, the film pairs Dhawan with Janhvi Kapoor, marking their second collaboration after the 2023 drama Bawaal. The star-studded cast also includes Sanya Malhotra, Akshay Oberoi, Rohit Saraf, and Maniesh Paul, promising a vibrant ensemble.
Dhawan shared the wrap news on Instagram on August 22, posting a series of behind-the-scenes glimpses featuring the cast and crew. “Sunny Sanskari ki Tulsi Kumari is done!! Main phir se aa raha hoon @shashankkhaitan ke direction mein. Oct 2 @dharmamovies,” he captioned, sparking excitement among fans.
Produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, Mentor Disciple Entertainment, and Adar Poonawalla, with Apoorva Mehta and Khaitan as co-producers, the film is touted as a quintessential Bollywood rom-com with a modern twist, blending humor, romance, and family drama.
Filmed across picturesque locations in Mumbai, Rajasthan, and Dubai, the movie reportedly centers on a quirky love story with cultural undertones, staying true to Khaitan’s signature style. Posts on X highlight buzz around the chemistry between Dhawan and Kapoor, with fans eagerly awaiting the trailer. The film’s vibrant music, composed by Tanishk Bagchi, is expected to be a major draw, following the success of Khaitan’s previous soundtracks.
